I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your excellent teaching. I attended your in-person class in April in San Bernardino, California, and I took my Grade 3 exam yesterday — and I passed!

Your teaching methods significantly helped me during the exam. With all your experience in this field, it’s clear that you have mastered math problems like no one else. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Instead of letting math intimidate us, your approach helped us understand how to work with units and use them in our favor.

Everything you mentioned in class proved invaluable during the exam. For example, your advice was crucial, along with many other strategies. I also encountered a few challenging questions, but thanks to your technique of process of elimination, I was able to navigate through them successfully.

I felt like there was no chance I could pass the Grade 3 exam, even more so after I took it the first time. But, after attending the in-person classes, studying the video series, and reviewing the companion book, the outcome was very different.
This time around I felt like I was going to pass the test before I was ¾ of the way done. I did NOT need the equivalent and formula sheets at all (if anything they are more confusing now than ever), I got at least 9 out 10 math problems correct. I also have a much better understanding of wastewater beyond my treatment plant. The only complaints I have are that the State wastewater board doesn’t tell you what your percentage is above 70% when you do pass (I want to see how well I did!), and how much time I wasted learning and studying for the exam and wastewater in general the wrong way.
I am championing the solution bridge as I train the inmate OIT’s at my plant in which I have been using your material to clear up the confusion and misinformation in the Sac State water and wastewater treatment books. I failed the Grade II after taking a Grade II class with another trainer and then I tried an online class, but I still didn’t pass. My boss said if I didn’t pass the next one, I’d find myself in the soup line. Fellow operators recommended WWTT, so I signed up for the Grade II and then I put my nose to the grindstone. Eric teaches with a passion and excitement and keeps students up front and paying attention. That’s what makes all the difference, and makes this training stand out from other trainers. When I took the exam that third time, the answers just came flying out of my pencil. I felt so confident when I walked out, because I knew I had aced it.

Wastewater Technology Trainers is a must for anyone who is an operator or looking to get into the field. Eric does a great job of breaking down the different processes and his way of teaching math is a great help. I recommend his class to anyone with or without experience. They have helped me pass exams and make themselves available when you have questions. Thanks guys for your hard work.

The system that you’ve developed for teaching Operators chemical dosing problems is pure genius. This is truly a fool proof method that every Operator has the capacity to learn and use in and out of the classroom. What makes this a truly effective system is visualization of the data, minimization of conversion errors and continuity of using units and the solution bridge to solve the problem.

Thank you for your contribution to this industry, you are truly at the top of your field, especially in your ability to understand how Operators think and present concepts in a way that allows them to get it.

I find these classes very helpful in preparing for the exam and enjoy learning about the various ways treatment plants are operated around the country. I remember when I was studying for my Grade 1 & 2 exams on my own, I struggled and felt like I was not learning anything other than memorizing facts and equations. But taking your course last year in preparation for my Grade 3 made me wish I had taken your course earlier.

I would like to thank you guys for the work you do and your level of dedication to the advancement of wastewater operators everywhere. I passed my exam April 11th and I am so glad it’s over with, lol. You gave me the tools to do the job and I made it happen, but it’s the right tools that can make all the difference. You are the only teachers I will ever use going forward and the only teachers I will recommend, hands down. You will never know how much this means to me, but I can tell you it’s the world. Thank you both so much.

You and Eric are doing a great service to the wastewater industry with your classes. Eric’s method of teaching engages students, and the RR track method of teaching the math gets around memorization and lack of algebra skills. I can’t believe I’m already taking the Grade 5 exam. I started in this industry only 5 ½ years ago. For the Grades 2, 3, and 4 exams, Eric paved the way for my success. I had to study on my own, but the tools he gave me were invaluable to pass those exams.

I haven’t received my results back from the test yet but I am confident that I passed. I felt prepared for the exam due in a large (part) to taking your class. Everything I had on the exam was covered in your class. The short cuts you showed us, like…how to determine MCRT with System, Effluent and wasting setup and how to quickly determine F to M ratio was a big time saver. I was able to complete the exam, go over all the questions with 10 minutes to spare on a 2 1/2 hr exam. Thank you very much.

Just received my results for the April Grade III wastewater exam, I am very delighted to announce that with your help I finally passed it, hooray!!!! Thanks so much Mr. Eric for having patience on our last day of our study course despite most of the class not understanding the concept of the railroad method, but I made it my mission to learn all the necessities from the book I was given from your class and after many long hours IT FINALLY MADE SENSE!
